Why Salon Design is good for business
The image you project through salon design is a vital part of the customer experience. It not only defines your unique sense of style and branding, it instils confidence in your expertise as a hairdressing or barbering business, and it makes your salon a place that clients’ want to be and tell others about. Salon design creates the environment in which you present your services, making a clear statement about your values and culture. And when your customer is impressed by how much you care about the way your salon looks and feels, they know their hair is in safe hands.
Salon design also differentiates your salon as a place of work. The best stylists and barbers are drawn to environments that reflect their skills, personality and technical style, so salon design is crucial to attracting and retaining the area’s best talent.
As a salon or barbershop owner, it’s your vision and your dreams that matter. Bringing your ideas to life through design with Takara Belmont not only realises your dream of the perfect salon or barbershop. Our design approach also ensures that your service expectations are exceeded through carefully considered planning and equipment choices, and the eventual layout maximises your commercial potential.
Any salon or barbershop can benefit from our Salon Design Service, which is FREE when you purchase Takara Belmont equipment.
Step 1
We want to learn about your project, so we understand your ideas, vision and expectations. The initial consultation is conducted by phone with our National Sales Manager to understand what you need and by when. During this consultation, your local dealer will be identified and we will establish your ideas, project details, timescales and budget.
Step 2
If you decide to proceed with our Salon Design Service a £500 or £1000 deposit will charged by your dealer depending on the service Tier selected.
This deposit is redeemed against the final equipment cost of your project.
Step 3
Upon receipt of your deposit your dealer will liaise directly with Takara Belmont to arrange an appointment to visit your project site. During this visit we discuss your design brief. This includes your ideas for interior style, colours and theme, floor-plan and layout, service provision and equipment requirements. We also go through any existing plans you may have and discuss any architectural, logistical or utility challenges.
At this stage any mood boards and branding concepts you can share are useful to help our designers understand the style and identity you are trying to achieve. Accurate measurements are taken for 2D layouts and 3D render.
Step 4
Our interpretation of the brief is worked into initial 2D layouts. This presents a plan that maximises the customer and stylist experience by making sure we create a positive service and working environment. Our expertise ensures your salon or barbershop footprint is maximised to serve as many clients as possible, whilst ensuring space is planned to give ample privacy to the client and adequate workspace for the team.
Following any amendments to the 2D plans, and upon your approval of these, our designers move to 3D render to give you a visual experience of how your salon will look, feel and function. At this stage colours, branding, logos and identity elements are factored in so you can see your vision comes to life.
